Niccolò P. belts are custom-made by a specialist leather goods factory in Northern Italy which has been crafting luxury belts since 1913. Nubuck was chosen over cheaper suede for its longevity and resistance to scuffs and stains. Both suede and nubuck come from the same hide source, however, nubuck is crafted by sanding the outside of the hide (which is naturally much thicker and more durable) whereas suede is made by sanding the inside of the hide. In short, a nubuck belt will look better for longer.
Paired with the luxury nubuck is a distinctive silver-tone rectangle buckle made in Italy from 100% brass. Solid brass offers much greater durability over zinc or other lesser (but more commonly used) metals.
